Our Dear Prophet

I have seen so many posts on our dear prophet and I too want to add my testimony. What a remarkable man! Last night when we got the news, I was so surprised. I am so happy and can't even imagine the reunion it must have been with his dear wife. It is truly a loss for us, but I am so happy for her. I love this man with all of my heart. He did so many amazing and wonderful things for so many people. I know that he is a prophet of God. I am thankful for what I learned from him and I am thankful for my membership in the church.

Mike's Grandpa, Lamar Williams worked with him in the missionary department for the church. They were dear friends. He spoke at Mike's grandpa's funeral and when Mike went up to give the closing prayer, he patted President Hinckley on the knee and told him good job. He just smiled his cute smile. Mike's little sister Megan was younger at the time, and asked for his autograph in her scriptures :-)

I love remembering the Bountiful Temple dedication, many years ago. He walked past us in one of the rooms, and shook my little brother's hand. Karson was bound and determined to NOT wash his hand ever again, but my parents finally talked him into it! It is amazing what this sweet, witty, loving man has done for the church.
