Well...Happy Holidays! These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activities!!! So, here's to a long post...to catch up on all the excitement :-)
Mikey had his vacation and was able to spend 10 days with us! We got some BIG snow storms, so he spent a lot of time with the girls outside in the snow. It was GREAT!!!
Next...Bailee had some performances with her singing and dancing group. She did such a good job! It was fun to see her up on the stage. Good job sweetheart...we LOVE you!
Then...My cute grandparents started a tradition YEARS ago...the Saturday before Christmas we go to each of their kids homes and have a little something to eat, and share a spiritual thought. It is called the progressive breakfast and we LOVE the tradition! Some of the highlights each year are...at my Aunt Cathy's house her hubby Roger plays the drums and we all dance. It is SO much fun. This year my Grandpa took me by the hand and danced with me. It was one of those memories that I'll always treasure. Another kids favorite is how Grandma the Great and Grandpa the Great fill a sock for each grandchild / great grandchild. Here are Bailee and Sammie with their socks :-)
Then...Christmas! Sammie asked for not one...but TWO babies! She was a good girl, and got them :-) You can see the look of excitement! Our next door neighbor has a baby girl, named Ava. Sammie loves her. So, both of her babies got named "baby Ava" or "The Ava's" or "Pink Ava and Green Ava". She was at such a fun age for Christmas this year.
I got blessed with some home essentials! Mike cracked me up...and got me an ironing board, deep fryer, and crockpot!!!
My cute Bailee has been wanting a fishing game for a long time. She got it and was thrilled :-) She was so much fun and such a good helper with Samantha. We love our girls. It was also SO nice to have Mom and Dad up here for a week. Bailee and Sammie love all of their grandparents and I feel so blessed that my girls have such sweet relationships with each of them.
A few days before Christmas we decided for Dad's gift, the girls would take him on a date to dinner and Zoo Lights. It was nice to have some one-on-one time with Mikey. It was freezing, but totally worth it!
And lastly...my good friend from high school is getting married. These are a few of my girlfriends from high school. Hilary and Mindy we missed you :-( It was so much fun to sit around and laugh and reminisce about the good old days! Between all 7 of us we have 9 kids and 2 on the way....crazy! Love ya gals!

Hi, Kara:
It was fun reading your blog and seeing the most recent pictures. It's been a whilw since I have been on your site. Your girls are so adorable. It was fun to be updated on the family.
Wishing you a great New Year and maybe we can connect sometime. I hope that Gloria is really going to quit work; because we have great plans to get together and do genealogy. We have a lot to catch up on.
Love to you all and I am excited about the new baby that is coming.
